I am already dreading Mother's Day and I still have a good 3 weeks until it gets here. I am SO ready to be a mom and celebrate this day with my child. I woke up this morning to a surprise from Mother Nature and it really began to sink in that yet again...I will not be celebrating with MY child. It's not my time.
I was seconds away from having a breakdown when I decided to reach for my Bible to look for the Word of the day. God would have it that I opened my Bible to Psalm 113: 9 ~"He gives the barren women a home, so that she becomes a happy mother." This brought a smile to my face, but still I am sad because it's not my time.
Before I left for work, I pulled up my daily prayer from Joel Osteen. It was not an accident that today's prayer was a reflection on this verse, "For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us."~2 Corinthians 1:20 The reflection went on to say that you may not realize it, but God has already said “yes” to His promises in your life. You don’t have to beg God to be good to you. You don’t have to plead with Him to help you. God wants to help you. He wants to pour out blessing in your life. Stand secure knowing that God is faithful! Keep standing, keep believing, and keep following His commands because His promises are “yes” and “amen” in your life! And although his promises are "yes," are they promises for a baby? Will it EVER be my time?
After I finished getting dressed, I jumped in my car and pulled out my daily devotional book. Again, no coincidence the verse for today was "The vision is for an appointed time. Though it tarry, wait earnestly for it, for it will surely come." ~ Habakkuk 2:3 He had been trying to reach me all morning long...but this final verse gave me the peace that I had been wanting.
It will SURELY COME but it will be at His appointed time.
So instead of dreading Mother's Day for yet another year, I've decided to spend this special day with MY mom...which is definitely the next best thing. So, I booked my flight and made arrangements to share this holiday with someone I aspire to be like...the BEST mom EVER! And until His appointed time, I can't think of anything else I'd rather do on Mother's Day.
Already December!

Lianna ~ I am so thrilled that God revealed himself to you in so many different ways today. Though you do not know the exact plan he has for you, rest assured that he does have a plan for you in his appointed time. I am so glad that you are listening to his promise and finding comfort in his word.
Please know that I think of you daily and pray for God to bless you with the baby you are longing to hold in your arms. I know in my heart that your time is near.
Oh, how wonderful that you are getting to come back into town so quickly and spend Mothers Day with your Mom. I know that is the best gift you could have given her.
I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week.
Hi Lianna! I'm new to blogging, but I've started following your journey and am excited for your upcoming IVF plans. What a great post! That verse from Habakkuk is one of my favorites. I, too, have been dreading the approaching Mother's Day because I do not yet have a baby in my arms or on the way. How great that you are turning your pain around and choosing to honor your own mother while you wait.
I have every confidence in God, you, the DH and the doctors that the agenda is set...just waiting for the 'appointed time' where everyone is on the same page. Be strong...it WILL happen!
Love you!
Hi Lianna! Reading your message this morning really caused me to tear up. I can only imagine how you are feeling. God was trying to reach you and I believe that he did. Your attitude is AMAZING and I know that God is great things in store for you. I think sometimes it takes a couple of tries for us to realize that He is talking. Both my hubby and I had dreams about kids the other night and about 2-3 weeks ago his anut had a dream about me holding 2 fish. I think He was speaking to us as it was to strange for us to have the same type of dream.
I also wanted to let you know that yesterday, I used the chipin and contributed to your fund. Good luck on your journey and hopefully all of us who are waiting for a child from God will be celebrating together next year!! I will keep you in my prayers!!!
Have a great day!!
Alicia
Have a wonderful day.
