Wanting It Even More...

I had a humbling experience last week at school. If you haven't read my other blog, you've got to check out this post about Challenge Day.

I was very surprised at how easy it was for me to open up about my struggles with getting pregnant and wanting a baby...whether through IVF or adoption...through the Challenge Day experience.

I heard so many of my students share their fears, their experiences (some unbelievable and tragic experiences), and their hurts. I spent the entire day just hugging students and comforting them as they shared and cried. I have to admit that I literally cried for 8 hours straight that day...I was just hurting for them and wanted to take all their pain away.

The Challenge Day experience has made me want motherhood even MORE!

Children are one of God's greatest gifts...make sure you a hug a child today and let him/her know how much you love them.  You'll never know the difference it may make in their day...or their LIFE.

Will...

These days it seems as if I am running as fast as I can BUT I'm staying in the same spot...similar to what you see on cartoons---when the character's feet are going 100 miles per hour but he's not even moving???

I feel as if I am READY to become a mom, READY to share a new life with my husband, READY to wake up all hours of the night, READY to experience my child say new words, just READY.

After five years of trying, trying, trying, the answer is still no.

I feel like the sick woman in Mark, chapter 5. She had been sick for twelve years and her doctors gave her no hope of getting well or overcoming her illness.  She had heard about Jesus and that He was the Great Physician. She discovered that Jesus was passing through her town and she knew that if she could only see Him, touch Him, she would be healed.  But, she doubted that she would be able to make it through the crowds to get to Him. After a lot of prayer and motivation,  she made the choice to take a leap of faith. She pressed through the crowd until she got just close enough to touch the edge of Jesus’ robe and instantly she was made whole again. Healed!

Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well" (Mark 5:34).

I am making the decision to rely on my faith...faith that I WILL be a mommy, that I WILL share a new life with my husband, that I WILL wake up all hours of the night, that I WILL experience hearing my child say new words, it WILL happen.

“Keep on asking and it WILL be given you; keep on seeking and you WILL find; keep on knocking reverently and the door WILL be opened to you."~Matthew 7:7

Send in the Clowns!!

My aunt sent me an article she found on CNN. At first, I thought this was a joke, but after reading through the article, I do see some validity in their idea.

The article implies that with the stress on the body (and the mind) after embryo transfer during IVF, clowns alleviate stress...and as a result, women get pregnant.

If you want to read more, you can check out the article HERE.

All I have to say is...SEND IN THE CLOWNS!!!!

He Has His Hands on You...

My best friend sent me the lyrics to this song and it just gave me this overwhelming feeling that God hasn't forgotten about me.

He sees the tears you cry
He shares your pain inside
And sometimes you wonder why He allows you to go through what you go through
(Listen) Just know He has His hands on you.

Your days are filled with dark clouds
Even when the sun is out
And from the top of your lungs you shout will there ever be a change, what shall I do
Just know He has His hands on you

He has his hands on you
He says He'll see you through
When you cry He's holding you
So just lift your hands up high
For He will provide
Just know He has his hands on you

Sometimes you feel so alone
Like a child lost with no home
They keep telling you to be strong
But you say when will it end?
When will I win?
But just know He has His hands on you.

He has His hands on you
He says He'll see you through
When you cry He's holding you
So just lift your hands up high
For He will provide
Just know he has his hands on you.

When times are hard and it seems no one can understand
But it's in those times that we, we tend to forget what it means to be in His hands.
He has His hands on you
He says He'll see you through
When you cry He's holding you
So just lift your hands up high
For He will provide (Just know) [x2]
Just know He has His hands on you.

Hitting the Nail on the Head...

I received a devotional this morning that hit the nail the head!!!!

Momentary Troubles
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all."
(2 Corinthians 4:17, NIV)
TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Are you facing a difficulty or trial that seems like it’s been lasting a long time? Today’s verse tells us that our trials are really only momentary. Compared with eternity, our troubles don’t last long at all! As you stand strong in faith during times of adversity, you are building faith and achieving eternal glory.

If you are in the middle of tough times today, look to God. The Bible says that He is the Author and Finisher of your faith. He is the One who writes faith on your heart and then develops it to completion on the inside of you. He is building strength in you, He is depositing joy in you, and He is empowering you to make it through.
Today, be encouraged because what you are facing is only temporary. Victory is on the way, and it’s closer than you think! Keep standing, keep believing, keep hoping, and keep confessing His Word because He is faithful, and He will complete what He’s started in you!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for working Your eternal glory in me. I cast my cares on You today, knowing that my trials and troubles are temporary. Thank You for Your eternal blessing on my life today and for leading me into victory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
