Taking a Turn...

We have been on the path of infertility for quite some time now and have decided to take a turn.

We recently got in touch with a social worker and decided to get information on how to go about adopting a baby. We had NO idea how much paperwork, information, and documentation that it takes to just get started. But we are trying our best to get prepared for the first step in adoption...the Home Study.

We are still looking into more fertility treatments and hope to one day have a biological baby, but ultimately we just want to be parents.

We can't wait to see what this turn in our journey will entail!!

Oh Lianna,

I sit here with tears streaming down. I'm so excited for both of you. I've been praying for quite some time for your dream of motherhood to happen. What a blessing!

Adoption is a journey like no other. Do not get discouraged by the overwhelming paperwork. It just takes a little organization (which is not a problem for you) & an open mind.

Please know there will be many that will walk this journey with you. As always, my prayers & thoughts are never ending. And, lots of hugs are sent your way!!!!

Lianna,

I think you know how excited I am for you!!! I am sooooo happy you have chosen to explore adoption. Adopting Owen was the best thing we've ever done!!! What you said about wanting to be parents, I totally get. We felt the same way and still do. You are going to be such a wonderful mother to whatever child becomes your son or daughter.

I am so happy for you!!! Looking forward to updates!

Lianna, Congrats!! I am so excited for you and your husband!! I have been following your blog and I think you are an amazing woman and can't wait to read about this new journey (both adoption process and continuing for biological). Good luck!!

p.s. There is a blog called The Bevins Family (http://bevinsfamily.blogspot.com/). They have two adopted children and 1 biological. You should check out their blog, they talk about the process alot and she would probably be great at answering any questions you have. Just a suggestion.

This is awesome news!! I hope this new turn in becoming parents works out great for you guys. I've heard it is just as much of an emotional roller coaster as infertility, but I will pray it goes smoothly for you and your husband!! I can imagine just from the pictures of your home you have put on here, that you should have no problem passing a home study!! :)

Oh Lianna!!

This is wonderful news! Adoption is incredible...we are SO blessed to have our Josiah. He IS the child of our hearts. The exact baby we prayed so long for. The journey can be long and hard, but it's so worth every step.

Please know I'm praying for you and feel free to e-mail if you have any questions!!
