Baby Searching...

I spend a lot of my spare time searching for baby items. I really get a thrill out of looking at baby furniture, bedding, baby clothes, stationery, etc. I actually have a LONG list of baby links that I keep on stand-by until the time is right. One of my most FAVORITE places is Popin. It is the absolute cutest baby boutique I have EVER seen. I originally went to Popin to get a last minute baby shower gift...and I find excuses to visit Popin ALL the time now :) They do custom bedding, furniture, and monogram EVERYTHING!! I love getting things monogrammed...I think because my name was so different and I could never find anything with my name on it...so now I get everything I can monogrammed :) I found an item that I just LOVE in Popin and have gotten it for SEVERAL baby showers...Check out this post from Popin and take a look at the chenille bib.

But of course I ALWAYS get the baby's initial monogrammed on the front. And they have a TON of these bibs to choose from....for boys, for girls, for unisex. Just too too cute!

I started a list of websites that I browse for babies....so take a look at my sidebar for the Florists that I like :)

Let me backtrack and tell you why I have been doing this....

A few good friends of mine encouraged me to start speaking a baby into my life. Not only write down what you want, but buy something showing you are expecting the Lord to grant your wishes. My best friend Tedra sent this verse to me and I like this translation the best...

And then God answered: "Write this. Write what you see. Write it out in big block letters so that it can be read on the run. This vision-message is a witness pointing to what's coming. It aches for the coming—it can hardly wait! And it doesn't lie. If it seems slow in coming, wait. It's on its way. It will come right on time. ~Habakkuk 2:2-3

I have this little sticky note hanging in my medicine cabinet and read it each and every morning...

As you can see, this note has been in my medicine cabinet for almost four months now. Not that I need reminding of what I want the most for my life right now, but it's a reminder to thank God for what I know will be happening in my life in the future.

So far all you Gardeners out there...start speaking it into your life too!

Lianna,
You are absolutley correct!
You will get pregnant and have a baby someday! I totally remember how you are feeling right now.... But, it will happen! Four 1/2 years later, we were blessed with twins! I also did the same thing buying baby things and just always shopping/looking. That is totally normal and it seems as if that is a way for people going through infertility to cope. Have a great rest of the weekend!

I actually make those bibs that hold the binkies. the day you announce you are pregnant, I'll make you a bunch of bibs and since I am planning on getting an emboriidery machine, I'll monogram anything you want. And I agree about spaking a baby into your life. One of the hardest things for me after Jonah passed away was that no one wanted to talk about him. That use to make me so angry. He was a REAL person. He exsisted. So, I always spoke of him and called him by his name. And for the longest time, because I couldn't get pregnant, I would always say, "if" we have a baby. I caught myself and realized that it seemed so negative. So, I started saying, "when" we have a baby. And the strange thing...when I got pregnant with Kennedy, Brian and I both agreed to just stop stressing out about it, get through the holidays and after the first of the year, we would go back to the specialist again. I honestly think I got pregnant the weekend that we had that discussion. My period was almost a week late before I even relized it. So, think positive and I know that it will happen for you. Now...I must go clean the garage and get rid of all those dang toys that come with those blessings we all pray so hard for. My house/garage/yard looks like Toys R Us exploded all over the place.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who does this!! I have my own folder for my "florists". I'll have to add this website to my list. You've inspired me to write up some sticky notes!

I just wanted to encourage you..We have a friend that 5 years ago could not get pregnant. They tried for YEARS before. They now have a beautiful 5 year old daughter. The reason I am telling you this is because I noticed your note on your medicine cabinet. Well, I stiil have to this day a note dated 6 years prior to their daughter confessing they would have a healthy baby! Confession works-Keep on girly! I'll be praying for you!
