I had my follow up doctor's appointment yesterday for our Clomid Challenge and walked away feeling like I've hit rock bottom.
My doctor has discovered that I have endometreosis and wants me to have surgery before trying IVF again.
We aren't sure how severe the endometreosis is at this time, but will know more once he is able to go inside for the surgery. He does want to be aggressive and do his best at getting it ALL out, which I think is a good idea. The surgery will be scheduled in about 3-4 weeks.
After the crazy week I've had...with one let-down after another, I'm literally SHOCKED that I'm still standing and able to even type this post.
I thought I had been in some pretty low places, but this valley I've found myself in has caused me to dig my heels in and finally start my journey to the TOP!
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express."~ Romans 8:26

This could be the blessing in disguise that will lead you to motherhood sister! Stay strong! Praying for you :)
Lianna - I am so sorry about this bump in your journey. You're a strong woman who has been through more than I can imagine - stay strong, continue to look to the Lord and know that you are on my mind and in my heart. Continuing to pray for you guys!!
I'm so sorry! But I believe that having this surgery is going to get you the baby you so desperately desire! Speedy recovery!!
I am so sorry to hear your news. :( My doctor thought endometriosis may be causing my infertility, so I went in for a laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and D&C (which I'm assuming is what you are going in for). The upside is, the surgeries aren't painful and it only takes a few days to to recover. I'll be praying for you to find strength during this time. But, when you hit rock bottom, the only place to go is UP! God is in control. He knew of the endometriosis before you did, before your doctor did, so you just have to remain trusting in Him and His power of your body and your infertility.
Are you have a laparoscopy? I had one a few years ago and it wasn't too bad as far as surgeries go. I'm so sorry you are having to have it though, but maybe this will be the answer! I know it changed some things for me and I hope it will work that way for you too. You are so inspiring to so many Lianna, the way you live your faith and the trust you put in God with your journey. You are in my prayers and I love you friend!
I'm so sorry Lianna. I'm curious why you would need the surgery before IVF. I had a lap for endo and since it didn't work, now my only chance is through IVF. did your doctor mention anything about hormone treatments (lupron depot) following surgery? that's what I did since the endo was in my tubes and he couldn't get it in the surgery. wishing the best for you! :)
Keeping you in my prayers. I'm so sorry this is such a hard road.
Dear Lianna, I am so sorry to hear this!!! You are stronger than you can imagine!!!
I am praying for you guys!!!
On a side note: one of my closest friends lost one of her ovaries due to endometriosis. The doctors removed everything she had and she got pregnant right after her surgery. It was more than 10 years ago. She is still deal with endo, but her daughter will turn 10 in Oct.
Let's see this surgery as a way for MotherHood ; )
Just another chapter in your story, the story which is being beautifully written by God...
Don't allow satan to steal that which he has no right to...
your joy,
your peace,
your faith,
your story!
Isaiah 43:
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. 2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
All the road bumps we continually go through on this journey are preparing us for the best! I can't wait to see what God's BEST is for you! Love you girl!
Amen to what Sarah said! I've had endo surgery twice along with all of our fertility treatments and I would go through everything I went through a million times again for Kaden. This is all in the plan and I know it sucks right now, but just focus on the end result!
Right there with you! I know this journey isn't fun.
So sorry to hear this news. I will continue to keep you in my prayers. You are a wonderful and strong person indside and out. I know that you will be a mommy. God is going to take care of you.
Lianna
My DIL had endometriosis and had surgery. She has two children now. God may have lead your doctor to the problem. Have faith that the Lord has a plan for you and David. Love ya much and great big hugs.
I am sorry to hear your news. I have to tell you though, I am always inspired by your unfailing faith even when the road seems to be slipping out from under you. You are right, the only place to go is UP once you find your self on the bottom. And thankfully, you've got a community of people who understand and are willing to throw you a rope when you've lost your footing.
I am so sorry you are at such a hard place right now, sometimes I just want to quit this journey, but it is impossible. You are in my prayers!
Just when we think we are slowing making progress, the Lord is there to gently remind us that He is aware of our path. I pray that you will find strength through this, as you have so many times before. :)
I am so sorry!!!! There are no words that I can say that will be comforting. I know the exact things you are feeling & I hate that you are feeling this way (again, I am sure). I love the Romans verse and I love it even more in this version:
Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting. God's Spirit is right alongside helping us along.
If we don't know how or what to pray, it doesn't matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs,
our aching groans.
He knows us far better than we know ourselves. That's why we can be sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
Romans 8:28
Praying for you guys!
I am so sorry. You have my prayers.
You will be in my prayers. This may be the next step towards having a little one! God is so awesome - so trust that this is in His plan! You are so strong and you inspire me and others for sure. Dig your heels in cause good things are headed your way! Hugs!
Wow. Hoping and praying that this is what needs to be done in order to get you that baby!! (((HUGS)))
It sounds like God is showing you what needs to be done next-this could very well be the "next step" in the direction of God's will to bring your blessing of a baby boy or girl into the world! My prayers are with you!!!
