I am thankful for Lianna because...

This year for Christmas my family wrote sweet messages to each other stating why we are thankful for each member of our family. We placed the messages in small Christmas decorated boxes and each of us opened them on Christmas morning.

I loved reading the words from each of my family members and I will cherish these sentiments forever.

My husband and I decided not to exchange Christmas gifts this year because we have spent so much money on trying to have a baby. So this exchange of "thankfulness" was our only gift to one another.

He wrote the sweetest message to me...

I am thankful for Lianna because "she is my beautiful wife. She makes all the hard times worth it. She understands me and we make a great team. I can't wait to have babies with you and grow old with you. I love you."

I couldn't have asked for a BETTER Christmas present.

This is so hard for me to put into the words that I'm feeling. David, you make me so proud and I couldn't be more thankful for you. And Lianna, the day David brought you into my life was right up there with one of the best days of my life. I thank you for being you! Love you both so much! Missing you! Come home!

That is so sweet! We've done that in SS before, but what a great idea for family gifts.

I love this idea too...and think we will definitely make it a must-do for next year. Seriously, there isn't anything that makes you love your husband any more than realizing what a great dad he will be/is. Truly a great present!
