So the DH and I have this magazine that a friend gave to us called Fertility Today. She was a guest writer for this magazine and thought we would benefit from reading it. I browsed through some of the articles and I agree...it is AMAZING. I plan on reading it in depth this weekend to try and soak up every single detail that I can.
Little did I know that the DH has been reading this magazine over and over and over again himself. He actually shared an article with me about ovulation and how to detect it more accurately.
The product (or gizmo) that this magazine recommends is called the OV Watch. It is basically a watch that you wear at night and it detects the chemical surge of chloride ions on the skin, which is an earlier predictor of a woman's fertility. It requires no urine sampling or temperature taking.
I have read SEVERAL of the articles on the OV Watch and even watched a few of the video clips. I picked up a lot of new information that I really didn't know about ovulating.
So I'm CALLING ALL EXPERTS...have you heard of the OV Watch, does it really work, what do you know about it????

This is the first I've heard of this product, so I have no advice. I think it's super cool though, and I'm anxious to see if someone reading your blog has used it! It's a little pricey, but not when you think about how much we spend on pee sticks and thermometers (sp?)!
Was on vacation last week & actually saw this magazine for the first time ever in a bookstore. I instantly thought of you. I browsed through it & wished how there would have been such a magazine when we were going through fertility treatments.
Can't help ya with your question, but you can bet that I'm still wishing & praying happy thoughts of your situation. Can't wait to see the proud Mama you'll be someday! Just remember, only God knows the plan for sure!!!!
I have not heard of this watch. But very interested to see who has and what they know. How much does it cost??
Praying for you daily!!
Lisa :)
I've seen this watch advertised in magazines, but never tried it because my dr recommended the Clearblue Easy Digital Fertility Monitor. I got mine at Walgreens and it's expensive, but was by far more accurate than the cheapo ovulation test sticks. You can go to their website and see how it works.
I have heard of it. It was big when I was going through IF. I knew several people in an online community that tried it but did not have luck with it. HTH
Oh one more thing...do you get Stepping Stones? It's a free periodical that is just for women/couples dealing with IF. I found it comforting. HTH too!
Hey---I have heard of this and checked it out online just a bit ago and it is very interesting.
However, I would NOT use it as my only means of tracking for many reasons. I think a good old themometer and some ovulation sticks are the way to go for many reason.
First and foremost, you have a record of what your doing monthly and what days you are ovulating on and see the rise and fall of temp. This is useful information you can use to your benefit month to month and kind of see what pattern your body is following. Does not see to be any concrete tracking info with the OV watch.
I would probably use it in addition to the other things, but not rely on it 100%.
Just my opinion...please know that we are still praying for you.
I have heard good things about it, but I bought a clear blue easy fertility monitor instead. I love it! I have such crazy cycles that I would miss "O" without it. You might want to research both.
Still praying for you! :-)
I have heard of it but never tried it.
Also wanted to second the comment about Stepping Stones. I have been getting it for almost a year now and it really helps get me through.
I think I've heard of it... isn't that what Trista from the Bachelor(ette) used to get pregnant with her son. (She just had #2 I think.) It was all over the newstands when she had her son after going thru IF for awhile. But personally I don't know much about it. How much is it?

Hi Lianna! I just saw your comment on Misty's blog and thought I'd let you know that I'm praying for you and your hubby. May God bless you with a bundle of joy real soon.
