Sweet Baby Memory Window...

I created this sweet baby memory window YEARS ago and thought it would be neat to share with all of you with little ones, expecting babies, and those of you (like me) waiting on your very own miracle baby.

I found this old window at an antique shop in Houston. It is a great way to hold and preserve some of your baby's precious items. I created my window with some of MY baby items. Inside you'll find a little dress that I used to wear...

My baby ring...

A pair of ruffled socks...

And I can't forget my great-grandmother's quilt in the background.

I have this collection hanging in our "soon to be" nursery and I can't wait to create a new window with our son or daughter's sweet baby memories.

Do you know I have a window identical to that with nothing in it? My mom gave it to me, as it used to have something in it she no longer wanted. I've had several things in it but nothing I loved. Now it's in the kitchen and I plan to put a bunch of old handwritten recipes from my grandmother in it. Plan to...just haven't done it yet!

this is a great idea, being able to frame a memory and look at the past when you were too young to remember. i love it.

That's a great idea- wish I had some of my own baby items ; / but I do have a collection of important items put away of my son's.

Adorable! What a lovely momento. Hmm.. I may have to hang my son's baby blanket. Thanks for the unique idea! And for linking up to SNS.

I'm not sure if I stopped by after you did. But it's a little late here and my husband is playing video games with his best friend who is in town for a week, so I thought I'd look around! I just LOVE the window you made, and I have been wanting to do a shadow box of things from the day my bio son was born, but have yet to do it. I have a scrub top with his foot prints on it, my hospital braclet and the one that said he was mine, and some pictures of us. They mean the world to me, because that was the one and only time I've held him and loved on him in person.

Good luck with the adoption process, and if you have any questions or want some pointers or things to include in your adoption plan, please feel free to ask me! My adoption journey has not been a bed of roses, and I would LOVE to help someone know exactly what a birth mother goes through after placement. I think that knowing first hand will help you to be a better adoptive mom and to help your birth mother heal.
