A Lifetime of Blessings...

Each morning I do my best to post a verse on my Twitter account and use that verse as something to reflect on that day. This morning, this is the verse I chose:

"Don't be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant."~Galatians 6:7 NLT

I really started to reflect this morning on the seeds that I am sowing. Do I pray enough? Do I encourage enough? Do I have hope? Do I love enough? Because these are the things that I will reap in the future.

Or am I sowing seeds of judgment, anger, bitterness? If so, I will reap a bad harvest.

It is so easy to have those negative feelings when I feel as if EVERYTHING is going against me...my job, our journey to become parents, our finances, etc. So I'm committing myself today to plant seeds of happiness, thoughtfulness, and love because I intend to harvest a lifetime of blessings.

Thank you for sharing this Lianna! I too have been struggling with some of those same questions. I want so much to be a better Christian, but it seems that the things of this world try and knock you down so often.
I pray for you and David everyday in your journey. Know that during all of this your faithfulness has blessed so many. I admire your strength through all of this :)You make me strive to be a better woman of faith.

Luv Ya Girl! Hope you have a wonderful rest of the week!!!

Thanks for posting these words of encouragement. I too need to change my outlook on things, lots of things. I am going to print this post and keep it on my desk at work so that it will constantly remind me of what seeds I should be "sowing" myself. Praying for you friend.

"you cannot mock the justice of God."

That is seriously thought provoking.

Lianna,
We may not know each other "in real life," but I have learned a lot about you during the years I've read your blog...and through following you on Twitter. Please know that I think you are casting seeds of joy and love! Through everything, you have never given up hope that you are going to be a mother. Do you know how inspiring that is to other readers who are battling infertility? You are a person who radiates hope, joy, and beauty in every post. Even the Bible verses you tweet are full of hope. The one you used earlier this week from Leviticus is a perfect example. The trees of the field WILL yield their fruit.
Please know that there are so many of us praying for you and your DH.

When everything and everyone is against us, that's when God is showing us His love the most (we just have to have faith to see it).

Thank you so much for sharing that verse with me! The whole idea of you reap what you sew is so true! How can you expect good to come in your life if all you put into it is bad? I wish you so much luck with you journey to parenthood. I recently had laparoscopy, D&C and hysteroscopy surgeries done, so if you need my advice or experience, please just ask! My website is www.thejohnsonsjourney.com. God bless! Praying for you!
